소아청소년 비만증의 일부는 유전으로 인해 생긴다.
대부분의 소아 비만증은 정서적 문제, 정신적 문제, 육체 운동 부족, 균형 잡히지

않은 음식물 섭취와 적절치 않은 일상생활 양식 등으로 인해 주로 생긴다.

신생아기나 영유아기에 비만했던 아이들의 대부분은 영유아기 이후 점차로 더 성장발육 하면서 계속 비만하고 성인이 되어서도 비만한 것이 보통이다.
고혈압, 당뇨병 등 여러 가지 질병이 비만한 아이들이나 비만한 성인들에게 더 잘 생길 수 있다.
비만한 소아청소년들이나 성인들에게는 공존이환율이 더 많이 생긴다.
어려서부터 비만하지 않게 성장 발육하도록 예방해서 성인이 되어서도 비만하지 않게 도와주어야 한다.

Part of childhood obesity is due to heredity.
Most childhood obesity is caused by an emotional problem, a mental problem, a lack of physical exercise, and an unbalanced diet.
It is mainly caused by food intake and improper daily lifestyle.
Most of the children who were obese in the neonatal or infancy period continue to grow and develop gradually after infancy and are usually obese even in adulthood.
Various diseases, such as high blood pressure and diabetes, can be more prone to obese children or obese adults.
Obese children and adolescents and adults have a higher coexistence rate. It is important to prevent obesity from growing and developing so as not to be obese from an early age, and to help prevent obesity even in adulthood.
It prevents childhood obesity and prevents hypertension or diabetes caused by obesity through proper dietary habits, physical and mental exercise, and healthy emotional and mental health maintenance.

17% of children aged 2 to 19 are obese.
